Seven surveyors have climbed the promotion ladder at the Birmingham office of property consultancy CBRE.

Richard Connolly and Will Ventham have been made directors in the valuation and office agency teams respectively.

Richard, who joined the firm in 2006, provides a range of valuation advice on commercial properties with a specialism in city centre offices. His clients include Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC, Handelsbanken, Santander, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Standard Life, AXA and Prudential. Continue reading

Three surveyors from Colliers International have risen up the ranks at the real estate consultancy’s Birmingham office.

Chris Bampton is now director of the national investment team.

Chris, who has been with the firm since 2007, is responsible for identifying and selling investment properties.

Harry Dunger has been promoted to director of corporate restructuring. He specialises in dealing with distressed assets in the Midlands on behalf of banks and insolvency practitioners. His clients include Lloyds TSB, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Barclays Bank. Continue reading

Birmingham, 6 February, 2012 – A surveyor from the Birmingham office of property consultants CBRE has turned author with the publication of his novel, ‘The Ringer’.

Greg Hunt, an associate director in the property asset management team, wrote the adventure thriller over eight months during his daily train commute from his home in Barnt Green.

The page-turner tells the story of Greg’s alter ego Archie Malcolm, a bell ringer working for the navy tasked with busting a drugs ring.

The novel brings together Greg’s twin love of the Alps, where the action is centred, and campanology. A bell ringer at St Laurence Church, Alvechurch, the father-of-two claims the campanology angle gives a fresh twist to the traditional action thriller. Continue reading

Sunshine sheds project for Colliers International

The Birmingham office of Colliers International has completed a two-year project advising the Maltese Government on its industrial property holdings.
