Orbis joins international partnership

Birmingham corporate financiers Orbis Partners has extended its reach into overseas markets by joining Clairfield Partners, the international partnership of mid-market corporate finance boutiques.

Orbis, which is based in Edmund Street, has signed an exclusive agreement with Clairfield to become its sole UK partner. It will join the partnership’s 13 other member firms, which cover Europe, the Americas, Australia and Asia. Continue reading

Joint administrators announce sale of Birmingham Mint development

The historic site of the former Birmingham Mint development, on Icknield Street, in Hockley, Birmingham, has been sold by administrator Deloitte to Raybone Developments (Mint) Limited.  

Joint administrators Matt Cowlishaw and Dominic Wong of Deloitte completed the sale of the site, which was part of the Junared Group of companies, which fell into administration on 8 June 2009.

Deloitte advises on £32m MBO of Team Telecom Group

Business advisory firm Deloitte has advised Gresham, the UK mid-market private equity specialist, on the £32.8 million management buy-out of Team Telecom Group (TTG) from Spice plc.

The MBO, which is subject to shareholder approval, is led by TTG chairman Peter Burridge and group CEO Mike Norfield. The deal was funded by HSBC Leveraged Finance, which provided the supporting debt package.

Deloitte and Drivers Jonas complete merger

The merger of two of the biggest names in Birmingham’s property and accountancy sectors has been completed.

Business advisory firm Deloitte and property consultants Drivers Jonas have merged to create Drivers Jonas Deloitte, a 700 strong specialist real estate advisory arm of Deloitte.

It follows the announcement in January that Deloitte had acquired Drivers Jonas to create the new business.
