Pair promoted to associate director at Colliers International

Susannah Smith and Ben Briant

Property consultancy Colliers International has promoted Ben Briant and Susannah Smith to associate director at its office in Birmingham.

Ben joined Colliers International’s Automotive and Roadside team in 2006, having studied planning and property development at Nottingham Trent University. He specialises in the sale and letting of vehicle dealerships, trade counter/retail units and tyre and exhaust service centres, and has acted for a number of major motor manufacturers, dealer groups and roadside occupiers. His clients include Formula One Autocentres, GSF Car Parts, Inchcape, Mercedes-Benz Retail Group and Volkswagen Group UK.

Susannah has worked in residential property sales and marketing for 15 years, specialising in the disposal of new homes, residential and mixed-use schemes.

She joined Colliers International in 2009 to work as part of the Midlands Real Estate Corporate Restructuring and Recovery team, advising lenders and insolvency practitioners on the sale and marketing of distressed residential property and developments.

Susannah previously worked as consultant for major house builders, particularly in the Midlands area, and has extensive knowledge in the sale of new homes, both to private individuals and investors.

In addition to Ben and Susannah’s promotions, Colliers International has appointed Nicole Hudyba as a senior surveyor in the Automotive and Roadside team.

Nicole previously worked for DTZ in Birmingham as a surveyor in the professional advisory services department.

During her time with the firm she was responsible for managing the landlord and tenant work for around 3,000 properties on behalf of Barclays Bank plc, as well as providing valuation advice on a number of petrol filling stations and car dealerships.

David Smeeton, head of Colliers International’s Birmingham office, said: “Both Ben and Susannah have proven to be valuable assets to their respective teams and their promotions reflect the contributions they have made to the firm.

“The Automotive and Roadside team, in particular, continues to be extremely active in the market and Nicole will be a welcome addition.”
