Centrick Property wins major instruction

Property management specialist Centrick Property has won a major instruction to manage five residential developments in the West Midlands on behalf of private residential developer and freeholder The Piper Group.

Centrick Property, which has offices in Birmingham and Solihull, will manage a portfolio of 98 properties across the five developments, including Libbard Mews, Solihull; Hewell Drive, Barnt Green; Burnham Meadow, Hall Green; Hamlyn Court, Warstock, and Potters Hill Drive, Shirley, which comprises 32 warden assisted retirement bungalows.

Centrick will provide comprehensive maintenance services to the developments, including cleaning and gardening, which were previously managed by The Piper Group, as well as ensuring all health, safety and legal requirements are met for the property owners.

Established in 1959 by the late Denis Parkin, The Piper Group is now run by his son Rupert.

He said: “We had used another estate management company prior to Centrick’s appointment, and while the properties were managed adequately, the same care and attention to detail as when we were managing the estates was not being shown.

“We were impressed with Centrick as they were able to offer a dedicated caretaker service that other property management companies don’t provide.

“With this service, day-to-day cleaning and management works are not outsourced. This provides much more of a personal service as the residents get to know the caretaker.”

Centrick Property was established in 2005. As well as estate management, the company provides residential sales, lettings and property maintenance services, and manages client property assets worth more than £1 billion nationwide.

James Ackrill, director and founder of Centrick Property, said: “This is a fantastic instruction and further demonstrates our estate management credentials, as well as helping to build on the already impressive portfolio of properties we manage.”
