London-based recruitment firm Tradewind Recruitment Limited has chosen Birmingham as the location for its first venture outside the capital.

The company, which specialises in providing recruitment services to the education sector, has taken 1,423 sq ft /132 sq m of office space at 2 Blucher Street, in the city centre, on an all inclusive basis.

The building, which is located opposite The Mailbox, is owned by Shrewsbury-based Morris Property, who were advised by Drivers Jonas Deloitte.

Philippa Pickavance, head of agency at Drivers Jonas Deloitte in Birmingham, said: “The location of the building, coupled with the fully inclusive package offered by Morris Property, made 2 Blucher Street an extremely attractive proposition for Tradewind Recruitment.”

Bill Andrews, operations director at Tradewind Recruitment, said: “Birmingham is the first port of call in our expansion plans outside London. Our position as the premier education recruitment business in London is already proving to serve us well in the West Midlands.

“We have been fortunate enough to find office space that is fitted out to the highest standard and in an ideal location for us, close to public transport links, as well as offering an opportunity to expand within the same space as our business grows.”
