Deloitte secures top spot in new report

Business advisory firm Deloitte has been ranked number one for client services, strategy and market presence in a new report on information security and risk consulting.

The firm came top in all three categories evaluated in Forrester Research Inc.’s The Forrester Wave™: Information Security And Risk Consulting Services, Q3 2010.

The report highlighted Deloitte’s strong client focus, technical expertise, and extensive service offerings as setting it apart from others in the information security and risk space.

David George, associate partner of Deloitte’s Information and Technology Risk practice in the Midlands, said: “This independent recognition stands to highlight Deloitte’s market leadership in security and risk consulting.

“It is no surprise to us that Forrester cited a ‘maniacal customer focus and deep technical expertise’ when awarding its top honours. Deloitte has made a substantial investment in this area over many years and our clients are reaping the benefits.

“Across our offices in Birmingham and Nottingham, we now have a team of more than 40 professionals and demand for our services is high.”

Mike Maddison, head of Deloitte’s UK security practice, said: “We believe this recognition by Forrester provides additional evidence of Deloitte’s ongoing investment in this area which has enabled us to develop what are independently recognised as exceptional capabilities in security and risk consulting. This gives us the ability to provide our clients with solutions to the most complex of problems.

“Deloitte continues to set a standard of excellence that our clients value and competitors aspire to.”
