Ashley Hancox has been promoted to head of regional office agency at CB Richard Ellis.

Ashley has been head of office agency at CBRE’s Birmingham office since January 2008, when he joined the firm following its acquisition of Birmingham and Leeds property consultancy GSD. In addition to this role, he now takes on additional responsibility for co-ordinating office teams in CBRE’s other regional offices, including Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow Leeds, Manchester and Southampton.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the office consultancy market, Ashley has advised on key developments, acquisitions and disposals in both the city centre and out-of-town markets. He has worked on some of Birmingham’s most high profile schemes, including Snowhill, Two Colmore Square and Calthorpe House, and was instrumental in achieving Birmingham’s record headline rent at Colmore Plaza. He leads the largest office agency team in the city.

As regional head of office agency Ashley will ensure CBRE’s national offering is co-ordinated across the regions. His role will be to implement best market practice, share knowledge and research, and implement a client care programme.

He said: “I see this new position as a great opportunity for me to reinforce the strong team collaboration across CBRE’s office teams throughout our regional offices and ensure we offer the best possible joined-up service to our clients. CBRE is in the unique position of offering a nationwide service for clients no matter where they are based, or which part of the country they are interested in, and we can now tailor and refine this offer so that our clients continue to have an unsurpassed service.”

Stephen Hubbard, deputy chairman, CB Richard Ellis EMEA, said: “I am pleased to confirm Ashley’s appointment to this role. Formalising this position will allow Ashley to bring together the activities of our regional offices in a structured and co-ordinated matter. The office agency market in the UK continues to evolve and develop and this new role will allow CBRE to maintain its position as the number one in this field.”
