Barteak sign up new tenant at Avon House

Property developer Barteak Developments has secured its fifth tenant in ten months at Avon House, in Solihull.Forum Law Solicitors has taken 2,000 sq ft/ 186 sq m on the third floor of the new office building, on a six-year lease at a quoting rent of £18 per sq ft/£194 per sq m.

The company, which specialises in personal injury, employment and contract law cases on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis and employs around 20 staff, has relocated from Westminster House, in Shirley.

Jeff Zindani, managing director of Forum Law Solicitors, said: “We were looking for a flagship office to base our fast growing legal practice and to give it the recognition it deserves. Avon House turned this idea into reality, providing us with a modern and dynamic location.”

Forum Law is the latest company to move to Avon House following the letting to event and trade show organisers Reed Exhibitions, which took 3,000 sq ft/278 sq m on a ten-year lease, earlier this year.

The building is situated on Stratford Road, Shirley, and comprises 26,000 sq ft/2,415 sq m of prime office accommodation, over four floors, with a further 2,000 sq ft/186 sq m of retail space on the ground floor, which is let to Avanti Kitchens on a ten-year lease.

Avon House also benefits from more than 100 secure car parking spaces, plus a number of sustainable features, which have helped it achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘very good’ and an EPC rating of ‘B’.

David Back, managing director of Barteak Developments, said the appeal of Avon House was its modern styling and high specification.

From the start it always had a great identity, which I knew if captured properly would be a great pull for local professional businesses and major blue chip companies alike.

Following the letting to Forum Law, a total of 6,700 sq ft/622 sq m is available at Avon House.
